History
Champion Concrete Cutting
(Calgary) Inc. currently is a well-known participant within Western
Canada's construction industry. We rely on years of experience and
are able to provide service to residential, industrial and
commercial clients.
Champion's Past
Todd Maurer, President of Champion Concrete Cutting (Calgary) Inc., started in the business in March 1990 with Champion Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta with his then partner Mark Nieckar. They built the company from the ground up and quickly expanded the boundaries to places like Fort McMurray while increasing services and the customer base to where the need to reach further was imminent. In March of 1998, Champion Concrete Cutting (Calgary) Inc. was born and opened into the Calgary and surrounding market.
Champion Concrete Cutting (Calgary) Inc., with the help of a highly experienced local team, achieved rapid growth and soon became one of the largest cutting companies in the area.
In the year 2000, Todd and Mark
split the Calgary and Edmonton companies along with the partnership.
Mark Nieckar maintains the Northern Alberta market with the newly
named Champion Concrete Cutting (Edmonton) Inc. and continues to
assist those local customers.
Champion Today
One reason for our continued
growth and success is that we are constantly updating our focus on
our customers needs by adding and updating equipment along with our
service capabilities. For example, GPS (Global Positioning System)
technology has been installed into each of our 20 strong service
vehicles. This sophisticated system along with our radio equipped
field staff, enables our dispatch to have continuous contact with
our drivers. As a consequence, Champion is able to give our
customers even more precise directions, distances and arrival
times.
Champion's Future
Champion Concrete Cutting (Calgary) Inc. is optimistic about its future. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to better serve our customers by supporting them with new technologies and systems. We look forward to serving our new and long-standing clients in the coming years.

Bill brings over 20 years of hands
on equipment operation as well as a mechanical diagnostic and repair
wizardry. He promptly and effectively handles any questions or
concerns that our field staff or customers may have as their
sometime unique job requirements unfold. Should you ever have any
questions on what we at Champion would call a "Bill" job, never
hesitate to call for assistance.
Mary Siemens, Accountant, Office Manager
Mary's calming
and welcomed approach to the occasional panicked day to day
activities helps keep an even keel around the office on those days
when you can't believe it's the 3rd Monday this week. Her high level of competence and
ability to forecast the chain of events while dealing with customers
and invoices, staff time sheets, numerous and continuous phone traffic
while maintaining the paper shuffle and filing is what
makes Mary a true Gem to this company.
